Field Service Engineer

Description: A global engineering company are seeking Field Service Engineers. The position is based in Angola and is ONLY available to Angolan nationals who are currently living in Angola.
Job Specification:In this role you will be the customer interface for the Energy Customer Service Business, providing in-country technical support to maximise availability of the equipment. You will provide fault-finding and diagnostic support as well as carrying out scheduled maintenance installation, commissioning and upgrades of equipment ensuring compliance with the customer's and our Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities:Provide a full professional service to the Long Term Service Agreement Project Manager to ensure minimised downtime and provide fault finding / diagnostic advice to Field Service Engineers and other Technical Support staff in the Company. Carry out scheduled maintenance activities and also assist with installation and commissioning new units and carry out upgrades on existing equipment.Act as the customer interface for the Energy Customer Service Business and provide both technical support and a field service role. Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with the customer’s and our Safety & Environmental policies and procedures. You may be required to provide technical support outside normal working hours, often at short notice, in response to unscheduled breakdown events, in accordance with customer expectations. You may also be required, on occasions, to work out of country (probably in other European countries) to support other Rolls-Royce contracts.

Qualifications: Summary person specification : You are likely to have worked in an Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls discipline and have a working knowledge of gas turbine driven engine packages. You will interpret piping and installation drawings, general engineering drawings and controls schematics, and have the ability to produce technical reports, based on work conducted and recommendations required to resolve customer issues, and / or improve system reliability and availability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. You will be able to interact at all levels, demonstrate initiative, be a flexible self-starter, working with the minimum direction and have the ability to work with a wide range of people and be a team player. You will be required to work within the company’s operating procedures to ensure that the highest quality work standards are maintained. You will be educated to HNC Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
